Gabriel Pires holds a PhD in Electrotechnical and Computer Engineering, Adjunct Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar (IPT), and Integrated Researcher at the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR) at the University of Coimbra. He develops research in the area of human computer interfaces and interaction with particular emphasis on multimodal interfaces, brain-computer interfaces, biosynthetic processing, and assistive technology. It has technical skills in the areas of digital signal processing, automatic learning, programming of microcontrollers and embedded systems. Received several national awards.
